Re: current build

You look real comfy sitting in that rig, all you need is a beer holder and a TV on the cowl and you could really relax while your racing.

Re: current build

Thanks for the kind words. I only got the one run as I had to strip the motor so it could be measured to make sure I was legal. I measured my butt as 2 1/2" off the ground. It feels faster and with the long wheelbase the steering is wierd to say the least. Its going to take a bit of getting used to. The cool part is close to what Jerseymutt said. Sitting (or laying) in line you can stretch out and relax. And you don'thave to balance it! But I am looking forward to getting it out in July.

Re: current build

A friend sent me this photo last night. Thought I'd stick it up here. In the lights and I am surprised by the lack of dust. I had reckoned to be suckin' a lot of dust from the front wheel. Guess I sealed it better than i thought.

Re: current build

This is what makes it all worthwhile. Starting teardown for record certification. The only time pulling an engine apart is fun!

Re: current build

Update. I ran at El Mirage yesterday. My timing slip said I ran at 11:47 a.m. and it was 97 deg. My kill switch activated at the top of 2nd gear and I got it back working but lost a lot of momentum. Got back in it and still managed 111.590 mph on my 107 record. So no complaints. Great day, great racing. There were 51 bikes entered.
