new project

My son is 14. 15 in feburary and is gonna need somethin to drive. We have a 74 chevy c10.Always have fun building stuff with the kids. It isnt gonna be a show truck or anything but it will be a damn nice truck to go to school in. Warmed up 350 with turbo 350 trans 12 bolt rear with some 3.73. inetrior is coming together nicely. We are putting a nice stereo with some woofers and stuff like that. We already have the deck (alpine) and door speakers. He said he was gonna let me buy the amp and woofers and boxes next. What a nice guy.

Re: new project

Nice truck, amazingly little rust for that year. Should be a fun project, hope you and your son enjoy it.

You may regret giving him that much radio cause when he comes home at three AM that thing will wake up the nieghborhood.

Re: new project

We have a lot of fun together. He has had something with an engine since he was 4 years old. I took him to the local school parking lot to watch me practice some tight figure eights for m mc license, I finally convinced him to ride my bike around the lot. He told me but dad what if i drop it. I told him well if you drop it we pick it up and fix it. Kinda put him at ease. was fun watchin him put around tho.

Re: new project

cool start bro.. i changed the colom shifter to the floor on my 64 chevelle so the way i did the colom is i cut off the mounting piece and made a patch . used JB weld to make it soild then filled and sanded it smooth, painted it ... looks factory + you leave the N safty switch hooked to the colom and you have a hidden anti theft switch... turn the colom by hand and the truck won't start just like its in gear....
