Co-worker and I split from work at 10:00 AM this morning and went for a ride. Neither one of us payed any attention to the weather report... just took a quick glance at the regional radar. Clear.
How was I to know they had a heat advisory out? Well, 200 miles into a 300 mile jaunt, and things were getting silly.
Pulled into a gas station in Crawfordsville, IN about 4:00 PM and a sherriff's deputy asked, "Pretty hot for riding, ain't it?"
Yup.
He pointed to the bank temp sign... 99 degrees... Ha!
Glad you told us that was supposed to be funny, I opened it and was immediately scared (Oh no Big D is pissed about something, hope it wasn't something I said) and was ready to pull the plug on the computer.
Big D, I know what you mean about the heat. Down here in northeast Texas, we've been over 100 everyday this week! Add 80-90% humidity, and we've had heat indexes in the 108-112 range. Too damn hot to do anything outside after about 11am.
