The Weekend Hoedown

Interesting weekend, finally the bike is running well and I am getting out on the road and going places. Saturday went to Wildwood Bike Week (4 day event) and got to see some old buddies, that's the only reason I go to these things cause it's basicly just a bunch of venders and now and then you get flashed. Saw some nice bikes but I didn't have the camera and the nice bikes were being ridin, mast of the bikes in the parking lots were stock whatevers.

Sunday went to the Hotrod Hoedown just across the boarder in Pennsylvania, only about a 50 minute ride at 80mph. There were some bikes there but it was mainly the cars. Some of yous guys that live in the non-rust states may not be impressed but for us East Coasters living in the rust belt this was a good collection of cars.

One of the 60's chopped Triumphs in the pictures only had 114 miles on it and the two last bikes in the pics had more fun stuff, an old valve cover cut up as a belt guard, a shifter handle for his shift linkage, a tire jack handle for a clutch arm, a machine oiler as a master cylinder resevoir and a bottle opener as an ignition switch. The more you looked the more you saw, I wished I had met the two guys that owned them to get more info.

Re: The Weekend Hoedown

And a few more.

Hope you enjoyed them. They actually had good food at the event, not to badly over priced, PBR, art dispalys and venders too. It was a good weekend, the bike ran great and I (me personally) didn't break down or run out of gas. I went to the Hoedown with my two son's, spending time with them is the best.

And the yellow car with the 67 on the side, the pictures just don't do the car justice, that was one good looking car.

I hope he doesn't either cause I've been thinking too. Alot of stuff on those two bikes were really cool ideas. They both must stay up nights thinking of different ways to use stuff that makes their bikes unique. One of the bikes had a lamp chain pull for the headlight or high beam switch, the more I looked the more cool stuff I saw.
