anybody like volkswagons

A friend of mine owns this thing. It's a 72 vw conversion to a chopped 40 ford rat rag. Neck snapping 1600 cc. Kev loves driving this thing. lol

I had a bug way back when...... loved that thing (except for the lack of heat in the winter) Only car I owned that needed an ice scraper for inside the windshield! Other than that.... great little car!

I like the looks of that conversion..... never seen one up close!

I do remember the rolls royce conversions too.....

People had fun with those cars! and remember the commercials .... I think they sold for under 2 grand!


I'd own one again!

I have a 1971 super beetle which I am going to redo the whole interior with tooled leather that is molded perfectly to the dash and anything else that is needed including when I find shorter seats for my bug I am going to recover them with my leather and tool the cute name I gave the bug which used to be my grandmothers and she is the original owner the name that will be tooled into the seats along with a classic design is betsy bug how cute is that? to me it is very cute and the bug that has been shown on this thread is way cool a work of art indeed
