Vegas!

Well I have a small (sarcasm) fear of flying and wasn't hip about getting on a plane, i'm 39 and have never flown...why?...because the fuckin things scare the shit outta me! A couple Xanax and a couple Beam and Cokes took care of that for a little while....the flying part isn't so bad, but the take off and landing..well we'll just say that's different.

Hit the ground in Vegas and immediately started looking for a Cantina to quench my thirst, well there's a bar in the hotel..coincidence?...I think not!! I'll have a Long Island Iced Tea..top shelf and don't be gettin stingy on me now, after a couple very tall and strong LI's we head down the strip for some sight seeing..we found this place.

They sell Margaritas here..I like Margaritas..coincidence?...I think not, so after a couple effective Margaritas we head on down the strip.

Wax Museum....hell why not?? Pretty cool place and they encourage you to touch the statues and check em out...so we did, LOL. Ran across Jimi, he's a man of few words..didn't speak the whole time we were there!

Sit on Evel's XR? DUH! Very nice bike and light as can be. Kept eyeballing the sweet aluminum wheels...me likey!

Ended up slightly intoxicated and somewhat lost in the Venetian.

After we find our way back to the Hotel it's time for a dip in the pool then off to dinner & drinks with a few friends. I have more pics of the trip and you can check em out on FB.

Re: Vegas!

Vegas is fun. We try to go once a year around our anniversary. There's a lot to do even if you don't gamble and you don't need to spend a lot of money....you can for sure, but don't need to.....to have fun. Make sure to check out the Fremont St experience downtown...it's fun with all the street vendors....and the light show is pretty amazing.

Oh....here's a helpful hint if you didn't figure it out....as long as you sitting at a slot machine...even a penny slot....and appear to be playing....drinks are FREE!!!!

Have a good time.

Re: Vegas!

Never been to Vegas but am planning on it one of these days.

The wife and I don't like to fly either but we've done it several times. We are both fairly tall and don't fit in the seats very well so we constantly have to battle to get seats that have leg room.

Looks like your enjoying yourselves, one question though, when you riding the bike are you going to wear those pants with boots or with those sandles? The fashion police will want to know.

Re: Vegas!

Did get to checkout Fremont St and it was pretty cool, had a summer of the 70's theme...Hendrix, Kiss, Joplin...so on...TyeDyed on the canopy which would turn into a lava lamp...very cool! Lots of sight seeing and a hell of alot of walking!

Mutt, funny you should mention the riding attire....after we got back to the land of corn and beans (IN) my brother had a party and after a couple drinks and a couple smokes I was able to putt down the road on my nephews 883...wearing....yup...cargo shorts, Jimmy Buffet shirt and.........flip flops, LOL!

Now, iffen you just had a Dave Matthews ballcap turned backwards... as far as I can tell, that's the official Ninja riding gear!

I got out on Monday (enough for a sunburn) and I'll show Mutt and the others what it's like around here... Somewhere east of Rushville, detouring...

Re: Vegas!

I got out for a ride Tuesaday and it looked just like the pic you posted Big D except replace the corn with strip malls and put in bumper to bumper traffic and that's what my ride looked like.

I live in a sea shore vacation area and the Bennies (tourists) are thick as flees and none of them know how to drive, they're all lost and looking for something and they're all talking on their cell phones. I think it's going to be a long summer.
