Senator Johnnie Edwards, whata 'bum

X presidential candidate, senator John Edwards, certainly showed how little we can trust all those government monkeys.
All that honesty and family stuff, his staff wrote into his speeches, when he was campagning, turned out to be one big hoax. What a two faced asshole. He needs to resign, and get back into ambulance chasing lawyer work.

It's one thing to have a little gal friend on the side, but quite another if you are a US Senator, and to be actually running for US President.

What if that igotistical smurky moran, had won the nomination over Hilliary like Baroma, and THEN we find OUT he' beens screwing around on his sick wife for a year and half.

The poor old democrafters party would have been in the dumps, cause that would have really assured John Boring McKane of winning.

Looking back, John Edwards seemed to have always had that shit eating grin, he really did. He had that stupid side ways faux smile...chewahwah, what a dud.

'Hail, all this stuff, makes me wanna write in Jesse Venturas name, this November.

Well I will be honest and say I dont know alot about US politics, try to follow it a bit and make sense out of it. It seems just as corupt as our Canadian politics, maybe worse?

Probably about the same. People with power tend to think they're above the rules that normal mortals pretend to play by. What Edwards did is no better or worse than what McCain did, what Gingrich did, what Vitter did, what Vinnie down at the Piggly Wiggly did. Humans do stupid things.

Some folks take joy in others' mistakes. If I ruled the world they'd be the first ones lined up against the wall to be shot. But that's another story.

Power corrupts no matter whether you're American, Canadian, Ukrainian, or whatever. Seems that one of the first way it corrupts people is to get them to think they're invulnerable. But then, I doubt that many people who have extramarital affairs figure they're going to get caught.

>good response. That about says it all.

The deal about thoses type of moran US politicians, is:
They'd be better off, and thoroughly trusted from day one, if they'd tell everything.
If Sen Edwards, had admitted it, when he read it in the tabloids, folks would have gotten over it within days.

Like XPresident Bill Clinton, he should've owned up to his oval office bj , as quickly as he knew he'd been caught: then said: ''Sorry about that,I need to get back to doing the peoples business''. But, oh no, everyone of those
idiots think they'll get by the skills of the Inquirers 0bligation to dig it up, and 'print' it. You can say what you want to, but the Inquirer Weekly magazine can be fairly accurate. {staggerLee}

Seems to me that the person who decides to become a "public servant" or a politician or an elected official or an appointed official...... they give up the "private" life and SHOULD live up to their job with respect and decency. It is the type of job that .... the job comes first..... which includes the people you serve....... you come after all that!!!!!!! It is a privilege to be in a position of power..... (they just don't get that)

No one would have cared if it was Hillary who gave Bill a bj in the oval office... (it is their business being married and it really would not be considered inappropriate behavior) But old Bill used his position and..... really was just an embarrassment to the office. Yeah it was just a blow job..... it just was a BAD choice on his part!!!!!!

No one enjoys "getting caught with their pants down" ...... But it happens and happens every day! No one likes to point out their own warts and bad qualities! I would have more respect for a man who would admit to his mistakes and shortcomings..... instead of lying and trying so hard to "wag the dog"! I would have had much more respect for Bill C. if he didn't try so hard to color the truth!

Absolute power corrupts absolutely! Pride comes before a fall ! Those things just are so true!!!!!

Poitics is bad business. People at the top think they are a good person so it's ok if they do bad things. It's not. Alot of people in positions of power think that way from presidents to the cop on the beat. It also invades the private sector as well.

We the people have the responsability to see these people are not elected or don't get re-elected. In two towns here in Joisey, mayors were re-elected while serving jail time for corruption. Another about to be prosecuted fled to New Hampshire and still won the election. What's the matter with us. This crap is not limited to NJ, I'm sure you all have stories like this in your area as well.
