Just to show you how dry it is here this year.
These are pics of what used to be Bittern Lake. The white plumes are magnesium, calcium, salts and sodium dust being blown of the lake bottom. The plumes could be clearly seen 20 miles away and the dust clouds were hundreds of feet high.
Once this stuff comes in contact with water it will become an acid.
Not so good. And very hard on the lungs. The pics were as close as we could get without choking. In addition, just about every acreage we saw had a for sale sign on it. The oldster we met while we were out there said he had never seen this before in his life
