Re: FUNNY! Harley vs. sport bike
I think that was made by a sport bike fan cause he was picking on the way all the HD guys dressed yet said nothing about all the sport bike guys all having to have leathers and helmet that match the paint on the bike, or riding in flip flops or always riding in t-shirts not tucked into their pants so the shirts ride up their backs at speed, exposing thir butt cracks to the sun and the public who don't want to see that.

Re: FUNNY! Harley vs. sport bike
Hahaha! Mutt, you are right... there are two recognized uniforms for sport bikes here in corn country.
Flip flops, beige cargo shorts, Dave Matthews tour t-shirt, ball cap backwards, Oakleys. You can't get into the club without this gear.
On the bright side, these dudes often take their hot little girlfriends, and they display their cute little whale-tail thongs as they bend over double in the recognized riding position.
~~
The other uniform is the full-bore custom co-ordinated leather Power Ranger outfits. I got to see herds of these folks running the Dragon two years ago. All decked out, running the posted speed limit of 30 mph, in 97 degree heat.

Re: FUNNY! Harley vs. sport bike
Let's not forget the BMW guys....gotta have the high dollar armor wear and/or the fancy rain suit and the white helmet.

Re: FUNNY! Harley vs. sport bike
Couple of years ago was at the Freehold Cruise not (back when it was still good) and a sport bike group from Staten Island came in. It was a hot summer night, they all had on full leathers (color cooridinated of course) that they walked around town in and left their full face helmets on but had them sitting on the top of their heads.
The best part about guys riding in shorts is when a bug (especially the stinging kind) flies up the leg and you get to see the guy scrambling around trying to get the bug out, now that's entertainment.
