Freaked out

I got to go see the power company in the morning to try and figure why my bill went from just under $200 in Aug to $647 for september...jeez-o-pete either the meter reader is crossed eyed or my meter is screwed up cause the usage of power for sept has been about the same or maybe even a little less than august.

Well have fun. Every now and then the utilities will send bills on estimated readings and then when they finally send someone out to read the meter you get the bill for the actual useage. Our water company did this to me once and sent me a bill for 1200 bucks. My argument to them was if you read the meter when you were supposed to and I saw that I was using beyond the minimum I would have cut back my water useage and my only indicator of how much I use is your bill. They couldn't argue that (and there was a bit more to it then that) and cancelled the bill but of course my wife and I had to miss work and go down to the BTMUA and fight likie hell. Good Luck.

I am never late on any bills, today I got my phone bill and it said I owed $51, ok not the end of the world but there was also a disconnection notice in there!! Guess it will be another 2 hrs with them on the phone in the morning! Idiots.

Our friggin prov. went all privatized a few years ago so my utility bill reads $60 for power and $70 for administration fees?...add in water, sewage, gas etc. and the basterds are double charging everything so they can send you a piece of paper...what a fricking rip off!....and if you don't like it you can buy candles, crap in a pail and buy long underwear....what a great system we live in.....and I just settled with the insurance for a drunk who totaled my truck while it was parked! (DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THIS ONE!!!)....my ass is still sore from the shafting they gave me.LOL
