Easy Rider Star Hitting A Rough Patch

Just read Dennis Hopper has prostrate cancer. Actor Dennis Hopper battling prostate cancer | Comcast.net . With all the drugs he did I'm surprised his health held up as good as it did. Wish him well though, crazy guy but a good actor.

Re: Easy Rider Star Hitting A Rough Patch

They say if you live long enough we will all get it..... yet it might not be what even kills us....

sometimes you wonder if those tests are just overly sensitive..... and if they pick up things that you are fighting naturally.... I think our bodies fight cancer 24/7. We get it when it is more than our body can fight off! (just my opinion)

Anyway you slice it..... cancer is not something anybody should get!!!!! It is a bad way to leave this world! Hope Dennis comes out ok!

Re: Easy Rider Star Hitting A Rough Patch

Richard, was just reading that cancer cells are something that is present in all of us but at a level that is undetectable. When your resistence breaks down or when the host bodies conditions become favorable they multiply at a high rate, becomes detectable and you got cancer so that's not just your opinion. I have also heard that any man that lives long enough will get prostae cancer. Not looking forward to it but don't want to die young just to prevent it. Of course I have passed the point of dieing young so dieing prematurely would be a better way to put it.

And yes Kevin, Cancer does suck. You will notice that most of the focus right now in cancer research seems to be in breast cancer. I think that's because women have been very verble and very active in raising money for it. So the squeaky wheel gets the oil especially when that wheel controls the money.
