Post-war XT600

Finally started on it for good today. I brought the thing home about 2 years ago and rode it for a while, then tore it about half way down about 8 months ago and it's been sitting since then. Today I tore into it for good...getting the ground clearance height about the same as the sidecar I will be using and doing a small mock-up of axle plates to see where the rear spacing will be in relation to the backbone.

Going to be a slow build as this whole "thinking things out stuff" is the hardest part for me. Plus I'm taking my time to try to achieve the look I want.

Just cause my projects go on for ever doesn't mean you should take your time. Intertested to see where this one goes.

Re: Post-war XT600

A little more done today. Set some things up, cut some shit off.....still thinking about how exactly I want to go. Was originally thinking I would stretch the rear back a couple inches but now I'm not so sure. Everything thought changes hourly.....LOL.

Re: Post-war XT600

I like that you moved the back wheel in closer. I think it will make it look much better when your done. To much blank space in the rear when you stretch them out like you were doing in the first pics.
