paint or polish?

The motor on my project is in rough shape appearance wise. So what do you think paint it or polish it?

If was me, I would polish it.. Your tins will be painted and I think that would be to much paint.. Just my 2 cents worth..

I'd say paint, but I know how much polishing is involved.

I say polish, not crazy mega buzzillion hours and not crazy stupid shiney but just a nice light polish to clean it up.

Polish. paint always looks nice when first done but then turns to shit and is hard to get off. Corrosion always pops up from under the paint.

Polish. Mothers metal polish is the least work that I've used.

I am going to try to reuse the chrome tins, well at least the rear.
