opinions needed

One more try on this 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 old school chopper. It has a late 60's era frame, prism tank and springer front end. Bke is very fast. Is complete but does not run right now. It needs a starter clutch which is a common problem with this motor. It is about $80 in parts, but I will be honest, is a real pain to fix as you need to go in through the bottom of the motor. That's the reason why I am selling so cheap. I have too many projects and I really don't wanna do this fix. I did it before and I hated it. Could use a paint job but other than that this bike is awesome. NOTE: please don't offer me any less, it may not be worth $1500 to you, but it is too me. Drop me a line if you want to look at it ################thats the craigslist post and i have no idea what its worth. Good deal or no? I dont have any more info than what is here just wondering if i should pursue this. And if i do go check it out what are some things i should ask or look at. thanks guys

Sharp looking bike. I like the 60's style with the long springer, sissy bar and prizm tank but it's an 80's bike and you have to consider the way the bike is titled. If it has frame numbers it should be titled using them. If the engine was just torn out of another bike, put in this frame and uses the title from the origional bike, where did the frame go with the numbers? This may not be an issue right away, depending on where you live, but will be down the road.

And what condition is the old chrome in. If everything has to be re-chromed, that would make it not worth the money. But if all checks out, insult the guy and make him an offer, worst he can say is no - well he can say worse but what do you care.

That my $.02 worth of stinky advise, it is a cool looking bike though.

Hmmmm nice period bike. I think i'd put that baby away for arainy day. If you don't like the motor....Transplant something else in there. Bike has alot of potential.

Re: opinions needed

Ioffered the guy a little less and he didnt go for it. So i will not be getting the bike.Afriend who lives in the same city has seen the bike and said it was pretty complete. Just a little hard to spend 1500 right before christmas. im hoping he will still have it after the new year and ill take another crack at it.
