makin progress

Just wanted to update you guys on the project. The tank has been painted 3 times & i still am not sure I like it, but my boy does so i think its done. Check out his choice of decals on the tank. The saddle pan is borrowed from a municipality, which will remain nameless.
if anyone has suggestions, opinions, or criticisms, let um fly,

Re: makin progress

Looking good. The one thing I would have done is left the lettering facing up. Well not really cause the lettering is green and I won't have anything green on a bike - but I'm not supersticous, honest.

Re: makin progress

I like what you're doing. Especially using the road sign as a seat base. Brought to mind an idea for a scoot; all the sheet metal made from road signs with the lettering as intact as possible, lettering side out. Fenders, seat, maybe even the tank. Wonder what stretching and English wheel would do to the lettering on a street sign? And what would you use when asked what color the bike is, maybe Urban?

Green is bad luck on motorcycles and race cars, same as eating peanuts in the pits at a racetrack. There are some things the elders knew and we have forgotten. I have never owned a green bike. My last MC accident was on a red bike. After the accident I realized I was wearing an olive green shirt. I learned my lesson.
