Like I need another project.

Picked this up today...1978 CB400A...yea....an automatic. Pretty good shape except it needs a head gasket. One tiny punch tear in the side of the seat, a little rust on the bottom of one of the megaphones, and looks like it may need fork seals. Paint is near new perfect. Not sure what i want to do with it. I'm watching one on ebay now to see what it goes for, if it goes to my liking, I may just clean it up and ebay it. If not....I may do a mild custom for the wife.

Might be a good one to clean up and leave stock. Jap bikes are starting to come into their own on the anitique market if stock and I would think that you would get more for it if left unmolested. Of course it's your bike so chop it if the urge comes over you.

That thought is going through my mind more, the more I look at it. Even under the seat is clean.

Well...to my great surprise.....the wife has expressed a big interest in riding this. So i guess it will be fixed and get running on this. Might look for a pair of shorter shocks though. It fit her perfect when she sat on it, but the tires are flat. I guess the decision has been made for me...it'll stay pretty much stock.

Started taking it apart and then realized.....I gotta pull the damn motor just to get the cam cover off....WTF?

That was a week ago, I'm on vaca next week so I'll probably finish it up then. Definitely have to clean the carbs up too. Linkages are froze up, can't even turn the throttle.
