Re: ???

Hmmm,

CB900 You say,

Hmmm

Good motor, fast and torquey, No kicker, and expect to change batteries

CB900 Custom rides nice, has nice power delivery. cant remember if they are air ride or not. Should be able to cruise 2 up at 120+ mph.

Thats about all I know, besides the fact that I want one.

Re: ???

Thx, Big D and Duck. Its been kept outside and it will need a lot of cleaning up both tires are dry rotted, but it does run good. Guy just wants to get rid of it, hes really gotten into dirt track racing (cars) and needs something for the race car.

Re: ???

I'm with Duck...for 500 I'd grab that and chop the shit out of it. I want one too, but you can't touch one around here for less than 1500.

Re: ???

Might just put some tires on it, clean it up and ride it as is for a while. I don't have the tools to chop it (yet)

Re: ???

Hey LB,

Don't know alot about Hondas and kind of pride myself on never having owned one but my oldest son bought one running as a project to chop or make into a cafe racer style bike. It ran good when he got it but the carbs were the first thing to go wrong, what a pain loaded with plastic parts, then the funny spark plug wires and now two of the cylinders have lost compression. We have all we can do to keep the darn thing runing, haven't had a chance to do anything else with it. If you ask me, unless it's in perfect shape it just seems to be a money/time/work pit. Anyway that is my experiance with the CB900 your results may vary. That being said, get him down to $200 or $300 and go for it, just don't blame me, I warned you -don't do it.
