Re: '81XS750 Trike??

I'll keep y'all posted...probably gonna be a slow build getting things figured out. I just heard today that I'm gonna have to flip the rear or it will turn backwards cuz bike shafts turn the opposite direction. Anyone know if that is true?

I let the guy keep the stock alloy wheels and talked him out of the CB750 19" wheel for the front. Like that better. Gonna build a girder anyway so it'll work.

Here's the idea for the rear that's in by twisted brain.
Ladder bars and the stock shocks for suspension.
Probably a solid mount seat in a low position.
Yea....I know my puter drawing skills suck......LOL.

Re: '81XS750 Trike??

Scored a pair of Ladder bars last nite for free.
B-in-law has em hanging on the wall in his garage. They are off his Mustang drag car, but he's got new ones on there so doesn't need em.
Still got all the heims joints in em too.

Got a line on a guy that has Ford 9" rears, word is he sells em for $50-60.
Hope so.

Slowly gathering parts.

Bonehead,

Your computer drawing skills are alot better then mine. Sounds like a fun project. The nine inch ford rear may take up quite a bit of HP to turn but I like the ladder bar idea. Have you thought that maybe a smaller rear will rob less power. Maybe something out of a small import like a Datson or something. Just thinking not trying to discourage.

No prob....appreciate it. I'm gonna shorten it a lot, I'm thinkin bout 30-36" between the tires. Probably gonna play with gear sets too to get it in a decent range as far as HP vs speed. Hopefully I can find a happy medium. I chose the 9" mainly cuz gear changes are abundant.
