Re: today it should fire up!

nice lookin' bike.
got my fingers crossed that all goes right for ya.

There's nothing in the world that sounds better than a home built bike that starts for the first time. Believe me when I say, I know.

I built my Shovel from the ground up, and it took so long that I had serious thoughts of giving up and selling it as she sat. Finally, 5 long years of blood sweat and tears, the day came when all the parts were finally together and I turned the key and started it up on the first try. Man, other than hearing my kids cry seconds after being born, there ain't a sweeter sound that gives you so much pride and hope for the future.

all the best,
Chief

Rick,

As a kid I never wanted to damage anyone elses property, that wasn't fun for me or any of my freinds. But the kid they caught will probably get a slap on the wrist and be released. He'll be back with his buddies in no time, laughing at you and the damage he did to your bikes. All a big joke to them.

But if I did want to do something like that as a kid I wouldn't have cause back then when caught you would've gotten the crap beat out of you then I would've had to work the summer and everyday after school until you were paid back for the damage. Then my mother would've beat the crap out of me and sent me to church to talk with the minister about my evil way and he might have beaten the devil out of me just for good measure. You smack a kid now for something like that and his parents would have you in jail and they would drop the charges against the poor battered child and send him for emotional trame counciling. He'd be the victom.

Re: whats wrong with kids today???

Have times ever changed! When I was a kid we would ring a doorbell and run, throw a egg at a house or put a bag of dog shit on a step! Good clean trouble! Never would we dare to even think of the stuff that kids today are doing!
