Re-build top end. Polish motor and wheels, re-chrome front end and all other parts that need it, re-upholster seat if can't be cleaned to satisfaction, new tires, cables, brake pads, etc., etc. Basically whatever needed to put like new.
This bike had been sitting for 14 yrs. in this lady's garage. From what I understand it was her son's scoot and he passed away years ago. She's moving into a condo and doesn't have room to keep it.
She was obviously very well off seeing where she lived and said whatever she got for it would go to charity. Here's what gave me a chubby, $1000 out the door. Could barely keep my shit from spilling out, loaded it up real fast, paid her and hauled ass. Was offered $4000 on the way out of her sub-division. No thank you I said.
As far as the history goes, It has a brass plaque under the head light that states designed and Built Exclusively for XXX ZZZZ By Custom Cycles Inc., Bellmore, N.Y.
I contacted a few shops in that area, and from what I understand their shop burned down a couple of years ago. A couple guys said they would get me up to date info on how to reach the owners, but nothing resulted from that. The search continues. It appeared to me that it could have been a feature bike being named and with the plaque.
