Agree, absolutely! beezer, thanks for posting this.

Story time, kiddies.

In 1979, I sold my 360 Honda. Some co-workers has some Brit bikes, and I always ALWAYS wanted a Triumph. At the time, I owned a '72 Triumph Spitfire Mk IV sports car, and wanted a nice Bonneville or something as well. Well, Beth said she didn't care, so I started looking. I had the cash, too. the $500 from the Honda, and a few bob tucked away... Well, this was pre internet days, so I only had the local papers to go by, and I nosed around the local bike shops.

Well, eventually I found one. Made arrangements to run 30 miles north to see a lady about a low-miles early '70's Bonneville, when Beth wrapped her arms around me and whispered those four wonderful words...

"I think I'm pregnant..."

By the mid 80's... muscle car gone; Spitfire gone. Kids, mini-van.

So, after a 26 year break, I got the Harley I always wanted.

But I always wanted/want a Brit bike. Who knows? May or may not happen.

At my age... sure is nice to have a starter button, and my Twinkie a real reliable... (Yes Mutt, I like my twinkie!)

Thanks for posting these "thru the years" pic's for us to see, beezer. This thread is gettin' stars...

Beezer,

Real curious about the tank that's on the bike now. Is that a tank off a 441 Victor stripped of paint and polished?
