Re: BSA Rocket 3
Very nice score!! If memory serves me correct they were introduced in spring 1968 and were the rave for a very very short time as right on the heels of the rocket was the Honda CB750 and that was the death of many bikes. Very nice find!

I was thinking about cafeing it but I don't think it'll take much to fully restore it. Think I'll cafe my 73 Trident instead

Re: BSA Rocket 3
Ya great score indeed. Hey, i think a cafe style would be great. How original is it? paint n chrome n oem parts. Shame to touch it if it's a virgin....... but if it aint got original paint it's hot rod material in my book. Nice addition to your collection

Re: BSA Rocket 3
Buddy told me that it's been repainted, also had bills for $2000 worth of engine work including a Boyer ignition. Rest of it looks like about 95% original. I've been trying to buy this bike for 30 yrs. so I'm thinkin' about restoration. Got 2 Triumph Tridents to play with

Sweet! If you've been wanting that bike for 30 years, then I wouldn't change it. Just have fun with it.

Re: BSA Rocket 3
Doesn't look like much is needed to put it in great condition. I would put it right...
