bike show in Indianapolis

Went to a swap meet / bike show in Indianapolis today. Rode down with a good friend, ran into some rain but still a good ride. Only 4 or 5 bikes worth posting as most of the bikes in the show were factory bikes with all the chrome HD has to offer. Enjoy.

Re: bike show in Indianapolis

Liked the Dream Cycle but the U model with the right hand shaft is really nifty. Old police bike? And what size tank did the hard tail special have - that thing looks huge.

Went to Rhinbeck on Saturday and I'll post some pictures of that during the week. It was a really big show and swap.

Re: bike show in Indianapolis

Great pics. looks like a great day! That Hartail Special looks way out of proportion.

Re: bike show in Indianapolis

Yeah, that hardtail special was way over done. Threw it in there so you could see some of the shyte that was there. Almost all the other bikes were stockers with alot of chrome doo dads , some for sale. The owners must have thought the had gold on their bikes as they were way over priced. like the 98 heritage softail they wanted 17,500 for. hahahaha what a joke.

Re: bike show in Indianapolis

Lou,

All the flatheads in the pictures are big twins. The first pic is a U model with a pretty rare right side tank shift and the last two pics are of a V model 74" or 80", I don't know how to tell on a V. And yes it is a good looking bike.

I liked the JD Sporty too but the back fender is too big and doesn't follow the contour of the tire, the rest of the bike looks great. I was wondering if it was built by the same guy that did the Hardtail special since he seems to have trouble with proportions. Just me being negative again - I'm sorry.
