Big carb

Planning on running a single carb on the XS750 trike. I need a big carb off a big thumper or something comparable.
I've got a bank of 3 smaller mikunis to trade if you want.

Anyone?

What size of carb are you looking for and whats your idea for a manifold? Never heard of anyone running a single carb on a XS triple with any success.

Re: Big carb

I got an old Quadrajet off a 350 small block Chevy. If ya can make it work, that would look really cool.

I think I'm gonna need something bout 38-44 mm to get enuf fuel. I'm thinking just a pretty basic E shaped manifold with the carb mounted at center. Someone suggested a CV off a 1200 sporty too, but I'm thinking that may be a bit outta my $$ range.

Out of your range? I have been picking stock HD carbs up at swap meets for $30 buck and they all have worked perfect. I have gotten three to date and replacing them every spring. Then I take the old one, clean it up and use it for a spare. I have been thinking of taking my two matching spares and putting them on my son Honda 900 four to see what they would do.

Ya know....I thought about that, actually a Holley 2 barrel. It would look cool as hell. Move the seat back just far enuf to get one of those small round chrome air cleaners or a velocity stack to come up right between the seat and the tank. COOL !!
LOL...if this cycle carb thing doesn't work, I might just try it.

Re: Big carb

I assume your talking about the progressive two barrel. No reason that wouldn't work and it may even be very economical. HMMMMMMMMMMMM, now you got me thinking.
