What a day...!

Perfect for riding, that is... A cloudless sky, and zero wind, temps at mid-day not quite 70f.

Somewhere north of Farmland (yes, that's a town) Indiana, on IN 1

As I came home, I had to stop at the derelict Ski Hi drive-in, where I spent some of my mis-spent youth. This opened in '55, shut down 10 years ago. Spooky...

Re: What a day...!

Cool old drive in. I am really surprised that there isn't some damand to re-open them. The bowling alley in Asbury Park (Asbury Lanes) does a drive in night now and then and it's very popular with the old car and MC set. They show movies on the building and you can sit in your car or on your bike and watch them. One tried to open at the race track in Wall Twp but the town rejected it. I spent a lot of time in drive ins back in my youth.

Saturday night at the drive-in movies...yea I remember those....a lot of fun. Never forget the night I stole my Dad's cabover Kenworth and piled all kinds of people in that thing to go to the movie for $5 car-load night. Too much fun.
