Starter/kickstand switches.....

My starter button/swithch...quit on me...on a trip. I was lucky a guy helped me, and went to get his trailer, to get us home....lucky we're under 100 miles to home.

Do you ever wonder about the Kickstand <off-switch> goin out?

I've never heard of it happening to anyone, but there's a liklyhood of it going out.....what say you?

Re: Starter/kickstand switches.....

My bike is too old for that type of technology....

But switches can fail ! Seems like one of those things that could be bypassed however you will have to remember your kickstand!

my two cents

All Modern Hondas have KS safety switches.<grin>....I remember back in the olden days, when they didden, and onetime a FRIEND took' off, and we were riding side by side, and I motioned ''your KS'' is down...thank' goodness....he didden lean towards it, and he was able to stop, and properly kick 'er up.....have a goodun. stagger-

Anything that can go wrong will go wrong given enough time. So sure, why not the KS switch.
