Re: So??

Well I don't have to worry about getting my ass kicked with what I have been doing. Life has been busy but with very mundane stuff, Mom's estate problems, the garden, fishing, monthly and weekly beer tastings, household chores, the seemingly endless doctor appointments that seem to come with age, working on boats and motorcycles. but it's the motorcycles you want to hear about.

First was having problems with the FLHS. Front end vibrating and chopping up the from tire. Took the tire to get replaced and went to service the front end and low and behold I found out, hidden under the ton of stuff in the headlight necille, an air line. I have front air suspensin and never knew it. The manual says it is only on the FLT in 89 and I have an FLH. Put air back in the front end, some new brake pads and the tire and what a difference it made. The PO installed a really hard to get off hand grip over top of the air valve so I never saw it. I have had the bike for over eight years.

Also working on the Triumph my buddy gave me. It is really becoming a fun project but the fasteners are a combo of Whitworth, Metric and ASE cause whoever worked on it before me just used whatever he could find that was close to the size and jammed it on. Now I have to get a set of tap and dies.

Re: So??

Was off work for 3 weeks with a herniated disc, saw a neurologist, had cortizone shots....went back to work for a week and still hurting but now with numbness in the left leg...manager found out about numbness and told me I can't be driving like that.....back off work I go till I see the doc again on Aug. 8. Expecting to have surgery and who knows how long off work.

Trying to sell one of the bikes and a few other things without much luck.

Yea....pretty exciting here.

Re: So??

Been helpin' on a farm planting cotton and soybeans. Back an forth to Dr. for a colonoscopy and endoscopy, and liver profile. Went to Smokeout in June. Did one day of the Myrtle Beach spring rally. Fishin' a little. Haven't played golf in over 20 years. Stopped at the golf course one day last week about dark and was invited to play a few free holes. Ended up playing five holes before dark and I was putting for birdie on two of the five holes. Might just start back playin' a little golf. And of course, riding the twinkler EVERY day!

Have so much going on I don't know where I would find the time to go back to work full time anymore. I am retired but still work a couple of part time jobs. I help my buddy that does HVAC and refridgeration work when he does installations and I drive a couple of fish trucks for some of the fisherman in the area at times when they go night fishing. One of the fish trucks stinks so bad, the toll collector leans out of the booth to take the money, gets a whiff of the truck and waves me through the toll. Was sitting in the truck at a Wawa eating breakfast, people were walking by commenting on the odor and I was asked to leave the parking lot. But at 70 mph with the windows open you don't notice it that bad yourself and you get used to it.

Re: So??

Been working 70 - 80 hour weeks for the last 2 months, to try and land a big contract with Michelin.... and we got it! We'll be building conveyor systems for 3 of their facilities in the U.S.
Bought a Bushtec trailer to haul behind the bagger.... headed to Toledo this coming weekend to try it out, and going to Maggie Valley, N.C. in August for a week. Now the missus can bring all her shit with her...... the things ya do to keep 'em happy.

Re: So??

Well... I've posted up some rides... just that and workin'

Indiana (like 15 other states) gripped in the heat. This is my Pontiac Vibe outside temp a week ago Thursday- I have an hour commute, and it never dipped below 104* all the way home. Hell! This ain't Iraq, it ain't Galveston, Texas! This is corn country.

Fisherman (Jim) and I are gonna get away on a 3 day "follow your nose and camp" bike trip soon, prolly wait now until September.
