OCC vs. PJD vs. JJ

Ok i wasted my time watching...here is my take on it.

The occ entry...not a bike electric vehicle, should have been disqualified. Looks fun to ride.

PJD- nice bike but not a show winner in my book.

Jessie- should have done something besides a frisco styled chopper. it looked like a carbon copy of the many he has built in the past.

my challenge to you all, buy a 40 year old bike, rebuild it from the ground up as close to stock specs as possible...oh and do it on a shoe string budget. and when i say rebuild it i mean complete engine tear down and reassemble to running order. The same for the trans, straighten and true the wheels mount your own tires, and rewire it front to back top to bottom. rebuild the carb and tune it correctly. all parts must be used not new, no power tools, no air tools, no machining equipment,no lifts or hoists all parts will be used and reconditioned, if ya can't find the part ya need, then you have to make it. hard core wrench turning is your only option.

any one can build a new bike with all new parts.

It takes a special wrench to bring em back to life, and a good wrencher can keep it going for years. that my friends is a real biker in my book.

i'd put any builder here against you fools....just to watch them run circles
around you 3 jokers. I'd even hedge a bet that says none of ya can ride like us.....either.

nuff said....

Re: OCC vs. PJD vs. JJ

yea and Junior won what up with that...Even Jessie bike was not that different from what he always builds, at least it is a bike that will be ridden and the other will just set in a display somewhere.

Re: OCC vs. PJD vs. JJ

First off I agree with the both of you, Jr's bike was built for show and that is what it is a show piece not something that you would ride everyday. Now let's take Sr's build as I will not call what is not a bike a bike. It should have never been allowed in the build off to start with. Neither one of these clowns are builders to start with, they assemble bikes from parts brought in from other companies (at least JJ does build and ride all of his own stuff). Now for JJ, well JJ is JJ and allways will be. Yeah his bikes are pretty much all the same, different color, different seat, maybe different handle-bars every once in a while but still pretty much the same bike. The difference is you can and those that have one of his DO ride them daily and that is a bike that belongs in a build-off, should he have built something a little different well yeah but then it would not have been what he usually builds and then he probably would not have felt like it was his or that he did his best. Do I like his bikes, hell yeah but then I am an old school scooter tramp jsut saying. Anyway enough of this babble the first thing you have to remember is what the show was to have been to start with "The American Chopper Build -off Jr Vs Sr" now sorry guy's but JJ is not part of American Chopper so that should tell you something right there to start with. (1.) The show was supposed to be between the two of them Jr Vs Sr. (2.) Sr knew he was about to get his but kicked. (3.) JJ was brought in as a scape-goat so Jr could at least feel like he beat someone worthy of being called a builder. Everyone has their own feelings on this but for me it should have been JJ hands down if it was any of em.

Re: OCC vs. PJD vs. JJ

The only time I watched what was going on was when JJ was working in his shop. Should have been more time spend filming him that the other two.

Re: OCC vs. PJD vs. JJ

I never watch the show but couldn't sleep one night and it was on, got half way through and it put me to sleep. The best thing they could have done was just film them working and left the drama out of it. I think the drama between the old man and Jr is all for show and the show is setting Jr up for his own career/business. And eventhough I think JJ is a good rider and builder I think he drinks this stuff right up and joins right in and I'm sick of it.

As for the bikes, Sr was building a toy. Yes a 3 wheeler is a bike but that thing was never made for the road and look at how many other people and companies were involved. Didn't show OCC's talent at all. I liked JJ stainless steel frame but as one of the guys said on the show, it looked like a bike done around 2000, nothing really new although I never saw the finished project. And the voting before the bikes were even shown put Jr way out in front, cause who's watching, fans of the show and nobdy likes Sr and JJ is an outsider. Jr's bike looked interesting but it kind of brought me back to the first or second bike Jr ever did on the show. The exhaust exiting through the gas tank had to be for show only cause (unless he did something I didn't see) wouldn't that boil the fuel out of the gas tank?

And if you have ever seen any of the OCC bikes in person the fit and finish on them is not that impressive. They display them in large areas roped off to the public and if Sr or Jr is there they sit in a huddle in the middle but they usually hang in a big trailer and charge people for autographs. I saw those jokers at a show in NYC years ago before they were really famous and they're the kind of people you take an immediate dislike to.

Re: OCC vs. PJD vs. JJ

JJ built a rider...like he always did/does. Jr. built art.....like he always does. I guessing Sr. said "F++k you, I'm a millionaire, I'll do what i want." I saw pics of the builds, didn't watch the show cuz I can't stand the bickering and smack talking.

Re: OCC vs. PJD vs. JJ

I wanted to vote, and went to the page to do it and it was all over.. I would have voted for Jessie cause he is the only biker in the bunch.
