Mike! Sales lead!

So I was standing near the stage at the Lez Zep show, waiting for the ladies to appear... some dude in a do-rag was there, and his GF has a newly purchased CD. Got to talking about the band, etc. I had my AMERICAN RIDES T-shirt on; he asked me what I rode.

He said he was going to by a Harley in a couple weeks; asked me what to look at. Well, not knowing what to say, I asked him how much he had to spend. His GF burst out laughing. The dude said: "1.3 million!"

Huh?

Turns out this dude was a lottery winner, one of 18 guys in Michigan that hit 40-some million! They took the cash option, and that was what his share was. He was to get his $ in a couple weeks.

Well, Mike, I told him that if I had that coin, I'd have one built, and I turned around and showed him my back. I told him to give you a call, and I wrote your website and name down on his ticket stub.

~~

This guy calls... we'll get together and discuss my commission!

This dude looked a little haggard, and I'll say this- his girlfriend was plenty hot!

I'll bet this dude will be broke in a couple months...

To be a dude, with a hot chick and $1.3 mil burning a hole in your pocket, that's what all men want.

And Mike, for a nominal fee I will act as your design consultant as well as good beer consultant.

Re: Mike! Sales lead!

SWEEEEETT!!!!!!!!! Thanks D. Hell, even if he does'nt call, I'm stoked to have good people like you and a few others on here throwing my shop out there. Can't tell you how much I apreciate it. If the dude does call, the party is on me, er, I mean him. LOL Maybe we can hook him up with my agent,Big D , and consultants, Jersey Mutt, and everyone else on this board and help him to spread the wealth. hahaha
On another note. I' looking for a mechanic if anyone knows one local. ( Indiana ) Or is willing to relocate. I can't believe it's that hard to find someone that wants to work anymore. I have been thru 4 ( mechanics ????????? ) in the last 3 months. hence, why I haven't been on here lately. So, if anyone can help out, it would be mucho appreciated.

Re: Mike! Sales lead!

See, if you had moved the shop to Jersey I would have come to work for you. Ok so you would have had to fire me too - it's been a long time since I have wrenched professionally and for the first six months you would have had to hold my hand a lot. But if you hired me for a service / parts manager you would have time to spend in the shop while I took care of the counter.

Re: Mike! Sales lead!

Sounds good Mutt, any chance of you relocating ? LOL My office manager Bel, does a great job of scheduling and parts but still learning about some of the newer stuff. She has saved me a ton of time when she took over the office. Hell, she even thows me out sometimes and wont let me get away with giving some people a bigger than deserved discount. My brother bought a fatboy a couple weeks ago and rode it straight from the guys house to the shop and wanted some different bars and some other doo dads. He kept asking her what my price was on the parts and she told him it does'nt matter what I pay for them. hahahaha The good part is, no one will argue with her about it and just pays her the quoted price. ( i'm liking her more and more. LOL
