Life gets in the way.

Of the "important" shit. Like building bikes. Haven't been around much mainly cuz 1. Doing some improvements on the house
2. Had a small fire incident
3. Refinancing for a better rate and shorter payoff
4. Helping a couple friends on their house also.

Just been to damn tired and burnt out to do anything. Hopefully will get back to it as soon as the new windows go in on Dec. 6. Got 2 projects sitting and collecting dust. A CB400A that needs a little mechanical work, then I'll resell, and the 89 XT600 that getting a full transformation into an early "military" style with sidecar. Plus I've had a lot of ideas going through my head for the 1100 V-Star lately also. Shorten the rear fender, relocate the tail light and turns, maybe change out the tank to an alien style, new grip/turn signal combos, convert it to a single carb, new single seat, lower and strut the rear, a rake job and/or a springer, new bars.........I've collected some parts already, but FUCK ME.....that looks like a lot of work, don't it? First time I've actually listed it out. Anyway......that's why I haven't been around lately. What's your excuse.....LOL.

Re: Life gets in the way.

Well you have to take care of the priorities first, then the hobbies. Besides, who cares how long it takes to finish a project. I always poked away at my projects when time allowed and if I felt like it, if I didn't feel like it I wouldn't touch it. Now my excuse................just plain busy, work is a complete zoo and I am so burnt out when I get home I end up just chillin or sometimes I will go work on the project for a few hours to to lose the stress of the day.

Re: Life gets in the way.

I have to many excuses and I am starting to accept them. Mom passed away last Febuary, her long illness kept me real busy before she passed and the house had to be fixed up to sell, but instead of selling it I bought my sister out and rented the house to my youngest son and his grilfreind. I still have a lot of little things to do and hope to have all rapped up by the holidays. Dealing with my sister on the sale of the house was one of the worst experiences in my life. Also Mom made me the Executor of the estate and she had a couple thousand in several stocks. Trying to get them sold was a nightmare and it aint over yet.

I also have a honey do list on this house, I have two projects bikes that are dragging, one with a title issue and the other (a Triumph Tiger) was given to me by an old freind and another freind just broke up with his long time girlfreind and gave me his boat. Also this summer the fishing was real good so that ate up a lot of time. I'm really hoping that nothing new comes up but if someone wanted to give me another Brit bike, HD, Indian of maybe an old Model A I would have to take it. Plus, once again I am having some health issues - just what I need. But I have been trying to check in here atleast once a day to see what's going on here.
