Jockey Shift......

Which side do you all suggest I put it on? To me, the right side makes the most sense....hand off throttle, shift, return to throttle......it would be a whole lot easier to put in on the left but that wouldn't be as "safe", having to reach over the tank to shift....what does everyone think????

Re: Jockey Shift......

I like the left side but have little actual riding time on either. Indian used right side but had the throttle on the left. HD used the left side with the throttle on the right.

If your using the foot clutch with it, your left hand doesn't have to clutch so it seems it should be on the left but if your hand clutching and hand shifting then it should be on the right -IMHO- as crossing the tank to shift seems foolish.

Re: Jockey Shift......

I plan on keeping the hand clutch so I can also foot shift if the situation arises that it's necessary and until I get used to hand shifting. so that's why I'm thinking right side...just seems to make the most sense. thanks for the input!
