Dirt bike parts....

hey all....would there be a safety concern with using a 21" dirt bike wheel on a street bike? Other than the drum brake,,but I mean in my mind it would be fine but have also heard a couple times it would not last/work to well....just the wheel and not tire, that would be a street tread....

Guys use them all the time, no problem. Think about it.......the difference in abuse between the dirt bike and a street bike. Yea....it'll hold up just fine.

that's the exact reasoning I have as far as the abuse theory.

I think that's where the 21" wheels used to come from back in the day. Guys even used to use the little drum brakes, not to stop but to hold them on hills when stopped.

You might want to be carefull if the wheel came off an extremely small dirt bike as some of those are made very light and some to narrow for any tire produced today.
