Yet another new Canuck

Hi,
Name's Keith. I'm a self-employed machinist from Canada's "banana-belt" - just a few miles south-east of Detroit. I just got started on my first bike project - the restoration of an old Triumph chopper. I'll take some pics when I'm in the shop next week to post so y'all can get a chuckle at what I've got myself into.

Welcome Keith, that is a bad-ass skull, I like it! Something you did?
Post some pics of your Triumph when ya can. It's cool to see an old chopper restored.

The skull is the headlight housing on my buddy's bike. I just did the dental work (milled out the eyeteeth and machined and fit the fangs) and some polishing. I know you guys like pics so here's a "before" pic and one of it mounted on the bike.

Hope I did this right

I hope that I didn't mislead. This project is probably more of a build than a resto, but I do plan to keep the frame and springer geometry as they were originally built (back in the day). The mock-up tank is very close to what I want to build, altho a prism tank would look cool too. You likely won't see this progress very quickly as it is a long term shop project.

any comments or suggestions?
