Hey from Ohio

Found this forum and it looks like a cool place for chopper people. I live in southeast Ohio and do factory maintenance. Besides the chopper I golf and shoot competition pistol. My bike right now is a 97 Vulcan 800 with 10 degree trees and rear air ride.

Thanks guys, the bike is a blast to ride and it really is a backyard chopper with everything being in my garage or at work. The handlebars are 1" black pipe bent with a conduit bender and welded up.

The trees I made from a piece of billet, having machining equipment at work helps a lot! The forks are stock units I extended 4 inches, but Forks by Frank sells longer tubes for Vulcans, I'm putting leather wrap on the tubes between the trees to cover the welds. I just built a set of longshot fishtails and put a hypercharger on, will post some pics tom.

I dig the overall look of your ride. I am however not a huge fan of raked trees but a minimal amount of degree is cool, have you calculated your trail as it is with the 10*?

Can you explain the your method of extending the tubes? We used extensions back in the day and are probably lucky to be alive after those years. Back then we didnt have a clue what rake and trail was! I would never extend tubes again.
