I'm back. Had another operation on my neck and am back and ready to rumble. Also while I was away, there was a time where I couldn't sign in to the site at all. It was like it didn't exist. Oh well, glad to see you're finally back, and on what better day?

Thanks for the good wishes on this special day for me. The big 5-O. I can honestly say I've never imagined myself this old, and never thought I'd make it this far anyway!

And a slightly late happy birthday. I stopped having birthdays at 39 and now after 19 years of being 39 I am very experienced at being 39. I am so good at it nobody even bothers to call me a liar anymore.

Unfortunately, I only wish I was better. I've had too many of these things now with little or no results that I'm convinced after almost 8 years, I'm not going to get any better than I am. It won't be long til I'm in a chair, doing all my wheeling from there.

Here's hoping I"m still able to swing my leg over that damned Shovelhead next spring and can get a full season in. As anyone who's built a bike from scratch knows, it can be a long and arduous journey trying to keep a home-built on the road. It seems there's always something that needs to be tightened or changed, repaired or replaced with them til ya finally get all the 'bugs' out. I'm hoping I'll finally be able to trust her to take me more than a few hours at a time and I can get out to see some of my pals again.
