Hey man, welcome! Sounds like an interesting project. There are several of us here that have brit knowledge and should be able to answer questions you have. Do you have any pictures?

Re: greetings from NYC

yeah,ok here we go.....first off the forks are not original,i have no clue what they are and since i'm missing the left side end clamp,i'm having a real hard time finding a replacement.also i'm not sure the same left side fits my axle too well,i do have the original trees so i may just look for a triumph fork.i do kinda like how this unknown fork looks so........
also the transmission has been changed to a 4 speed.why?who the hell knows.also don't know what kind which sucks since i need a kick start lever.any ideas?

Re: greetings from NYC

Welcome Skate Rat,

Can't help you with the Brit stuff but want to say that is some record collection you got.

Your in NYC so you have plenty of places to go to in the area where you can walk in with some parts, act dumb and ask advise. Most gearheads will be glad to share knowledge.

Hit the swap meets - Oley, PA is coming up, Harrisburg just passed, Somerset, NJ. They pop up all over the place. One word of advise, when you find somehting at a swap meet and ask what it fits the guy probably doesn't know and will lie to you. And if you ask what it fits and he asks what your putting it on - put the part down and walk away from the table.

That's probably cause they were Harley guys. More and more Brit guys are popping up. From the picture it looks the the front wheel is set up for drum brakes but the fork legs look like they take calipers for disks. You may want to email those pictures to someone like Rask's Cycles in PA, Choppahead in Mass (?) or Motorworld in Port Washington, NY (that's not far from the city but I am not really familiar with them). They can probably tell you what you got.

It does look like you have good beginnings of a chop there. If you decide its to much for you let me know what you want for it.
