Where'd I leave off last...
Oh yeah, it was the UNITY brass rim headlight on chop#2..
Well ...

I found another... NEENER
OK onwards...
Got the seat back from XIAN for the ground up build.
Xian did a fantastic job on the seat. I don't need to tell you all that. What he did for me tho, was CLASS ACT.
I lost my Cherokee Grandma near the beginning of the seat job. SHe raised me as a mother, and I dearly loved that woman as we all did. SHe was the center of the whole family tree. all holidays, cookouts, summer parties, revolved around her at her place on the upper 1/2 of my father's farm.
There isn't a day that passes when I don't still miss her.
Xian placed a memorial "tattoo" on a doc pocket for me when he read that she had passed on a forum.

check it out, and how it fits the frame...(link to pics)

This enabled me to get the brake on the front..
Ok back to the '85 ironhead..
I originally bought an old set of forward controls for the 73 (right side shift)... then made my own for the Bernice bike.. I sent them to Bucks as he wasnted make some patterns off em for something he had in his head... he sent em back, and they sat unused in a box to meet there fate on this very day...
Been pondering a foot clutch for the bastard chop.
came up with a slick thing that costed nothing and worked so far. Use the RS shift forwards I already have for a Left side shift bike, but foot clutch and brake... (jockey shifter).
I mounted the forward supports to the motor case as normal, but swapped the right and left side brackets for starters.. the shifter side in this set had a cable, not a linkage... sweet.. that just meant there were parts in the kit for a cable...
Heres what I came up with.. Pedal looks like the brake side would have... As the pedal was made for the other side of the bike, I had to use some washers to space it out abit. There was plenty of room as the pivot shaft/bolt was long enough for pleant of meat left on the back sides nylok nut...
Root around for pics of it here
