And So It Begins.............
Here is where my project stands this morning. Here are some pics of why I have to do what I have to do, what I want to do, and stuff that distracts me from doing what I want to do!! The first 2 pics are the one of the rods and the crank from the old Suzuki engine, notice the nice scoring of the journals, that equals $1000!! The 3rd pic is the little KZ400 engine I will be using. The 4th pic is the where I'm putting the 400, and the 5th pic is where the 400 came from. The last picture is my distraction (I really don't mind). If he ain't ridin' his 50 he's elbows deep in what I'm doing. Notice the fancy shop. Hopefully in 7 years when child suppport is over (3 girls by ex-wife)I can build me a shop.

Looks like a pretty fun project. Shop looks a little drafty for now, but time will come to build the one you need.

Re: And So It Begins.............
I was planning on getting all of the tabs cut off the frame yesterday, but it never got warmer than 35 F and drizzled all day. I took the engine inside, but my wife (boy she's lucky she's hotter than me sometimes) wouldn't let me grind on the frame in the kitchen, go figure!! Hey, Kevin, I sold that crank and rods for $25 to a guy that is researching this problem. Seems to be a common thing on the Suzi 800 V-Twins. The boy will ride no matter how cold it is, he just goes slower. He's gonna be a slow race champion by the time he's 10!! Thanks for the offer of the 400 parts Raven. I might need something before this is over. I have a habit of taking perfectly good parts and ruining them in the process of "improving" them. I'll post more pics as I get something done.
John
