pics of motor tear down

Hey forum heads, I spent some time yesterday and today splitting the cases on the mill I am gonna run(t120rv) 5speed and what a frickin mess.
I drug the parts washer out and filled it and today I washed and scrubbed parts most all day! Anyway hers a couple of pics of the nasty mud filled motor that will hopefully be a hotrod motor for the plunger build

Looks like it cleaned up well. Hope there's no damage, just a rebuild...
Keep the pics coming, really like to see this come together! Thanks.

ICK! Looks like the cases were full of water! How was the trap or did you dig it out yet?

The bike supposedly sat outside for a couple of years , but when I pulled the primary cover there was mud halfway up the crank. I was shocked as hell , I had never seen one that bad inside. I started all the clutch ,primary chain, drum and sprockets soaking in the tank and hope to get some time tomorrow and clean up what will.
Yea I would have bet it came from katrina if I didn't know better

Were you able to get the sludge trap apart? If so what did you find.

not yet but I don't think it will be good the oil holes on the journels had mud in them I have it soaking in a mixture of mineral spirits kero and marvle. I have another couple of lower ends 1 with cracked cases and if need be I will use 1 for doner crank if diamentions allow!
Maybe today since it's snowin and the shops warm, shoveling can wait!

OK I got the other one down to just about bare nuts, crank is way cleaner no buggers anywhere and oil inside the tube, broke 2 screwdrivers trying to get the trap cap off to retrieve the sludgetrap. I got the clutch side case outside in the deep freeze tonight and will grab it and heat the case and hopefully own the race in the morning. Anyway heres a couple pics of the donor and 1 of me with the Foo Fighters SKIN AND BONES(live aucustic) killer cd at full tilt buggy, my daughter wanted a piture to prove I was deaf , she said she had been yellin for 5 minutes!
More pics with more progress soon!!!!!!!!!
