new project

bought this roller off a friend of mine. Not sure wich way I'm going with it. I ussually let the bike guide the way. And for the heart of this beast, a 106 accurate eng. panhead. Any ideas ?

Re: new project

If you want to do it quick and easy, make a big old fat bobber out of it. The tank mounts are still there and it would give you a good rider. But the posibilitys are endless.

Re: new project

Ok, made a little progress on the black betty project. Still a ways to go, but should be on the raod by next weekend. Hopefully. Just using whatever is hangin around in the shop. not painting untill this winter, then I'll tear it back down for paint. Running the pan motor backed by a baker 6 in a 4 , some old 3 1/2 gallons that's been hangin on the wall, jockey shift. Still have to make controls, fab up a brake caliper mount for the hawg halters sprotor, some handle bars , wiring, an oil tank, and tag bracket to runthe ford taillight. Sold the trump back to my brother, he's making some progress on it. We have a little wager as to who finishes first. First one done gets to take the other's bike to the burnout pit.

Re: new project

Looks like a big old fat bobber is the way your going. The bike kind of lended itself to that. And handle bars I would keep the apes. I would also think (depending on your height) a pogo seat may be a cool way to go. Nobody runs them anymore but they are comfortable and easy on the back. Just thinking.

Re: new project

Would really like to run a pogo, but doing this one with whatever I have in the shop. If I could find one REALLY reasonble, maybe. LOL This is one of those builds were I'm trying to not spend any cash, or very little if I have to. I've got pretty much everything I need to finish laying around here , But I may do some trading or sell some stuff off it to buy whatever else I need. Cash out of pocket for this right now is only $800.00 bucks. That's what I gave for the roller. If I can keep it under a grand, I'll be happy.
We'll see. Oh well, back to work. Gotta get this done before my brother gets his triumph done so I can roast his tire off. hahaha
