Cool my Triumph old school chop build

this morning after my last post i pulled the plugs and got the boyer ign setup to fire at about 3/8 of an inch before tdc on compression stroke. and did a very accurate .002 intake, and .004 on exh. valve adjustment , and took my air mix adjust. all in and backed off 1/4 .
i did notice a gain in proformance , but not enough to go enter in any drag race, although im sure to finish in top 5 in barstool race....
One thing for sure after the putt today came home and passed out on in easy fashion in my easy chair, getting up after a short snoose my body felt like the way it used to feel on the day after the first day of football pratice of a new season. along with a gain in proformance im going through a gain in pain!!!! i think at the age of 55 and 56 2 mos. away all those bones in my body ive broken and the doc. told me i might notice more pain as i got older in life,,,,,,i guess im old in life now.. and will not take to the hardtail riding like i did in my younger days but im not going down without a fight so ill see what i can fab up on my hardtail to soften it up a notch or two.
but all and all 40 mile run today when all said and done went ok. this is what the plugs looked like , troulbe is i mixed them up before i came in now i dont know witch side is the rich side is , more then likely its on the left side were im running a rt handed armel monob carb and the adjs screws are a bitc.........bearcat to get to.
well take another putt tomarrow then will see what they look like cause im going to raize the main jet needles up to there upper most position. then see what the plugs look like afer that.............

dam kev you started riding rigs when you were 3yrs old?

well now that i sold me van im ridg only and todays putt i laid it down for the first time. outch!!!!

and did it right infront of a cop!

i just got down punping gas and real happy it didn't cost me $89.00 to fill ur up only
$ 9.00

this gas station had a car wash along side the cars come out and get the rub down to dry, and sipp out from there all the water from wash or wax has the the water come down to the street

as im coming out to get on street i see the cop and thougt i would stop before and my clutch has issues and im bearing down on the lever to slow down to stop im turning rt and a few cars were coming a half of block down but i coudn't bring it to stop so pulled my front brake lever a little firmer (have loud pipes didn't want hammer it to get in traffic, but all that water and soap locked my front wheel b4 i knew it im like in a 45 degree angle and felt like i was winter riding and hit some blackice going around some corner .

but i got to say them trumphs can take a licking, my front foot bar took a shot for the team, it is bent but saved the tank and the side covers. as i got up almost fell on my face again as one leg started slipping on same slick .....

maybe i need a set of traning wheels mounted on either side!

Re: my Triumph old school chop build

tried to add pics on edit but was not able to.

so heres what the plugs look like to night. not bad but this morning i ck the book to get what gap the book calls for and it said .020 i didnt belive it but regaped them anyway . and raised my mainjet needles to there upper most position. fired her up and sounded like shit so i lowered the pins to there bottom most position. was already running little late for the job i was going to stopped off at a lady friend on mine to raize pins one notch and reset my plug gap back to were i had them at .032 here's what they look like tonight after pulling them.

and i found out that my clamp that holes exh. pipe on left hand side had always become loose when it got on ruff roads. this is all city driving also . im going to putt a strap from one pipe to the other with pop rivet and in the middle a rivet to frame

also i dran the legs of my front end more like 50/50 oil /water
add some tranny fluid tothem just to flush out when i get new seals ill flush out then replace with fork oil
