Let the fun begin Pt 2

Well, had the chnace to get a few hrs in on the new project. Here it is as it sits now (crappy pics sorry). Front downtube replaced, rear frame section at strut area repaired and even fired it up and it ran perfect! Check out my fancy gas tank!! Now if my parts would get here I could keep going...

Re: Let the fun begin Pt 2

Well a fast update. I now have found most of the parts I need to get it back together. They are being shipped to me and hope to have them within a week or so. I have not had much time to tinker with it anyway as of late. Hopefully when the parts arrive I can find the time to get busy.

I like to know that everything is in its special little place. lol If my kid has been working in there it looks like a bomb went off and nothing is where its supposed to be! lol

Re: Let the fun begin Pt 2

I was trying to decide on a fender, what ever I make will be strutless. I just hate the stock fenders on these things as I think they look terrible. So it dawns on me that up in the parts attic I have a new JJ fender.....hmmmm I think this just may work. Eveything is just sitting here for a mock up and I actually have the front tire sitting there as I have to get a new rear yet but it gives the idea as to how it will look. I will have to widen this fender aprox 1 1/2" and build the inner struts and front mount header. easy as pie.......
