couple projects in progress

here's a couple sporties been workin on. The long chop sporty came in with the neck sheared off from an accident. We replace the neck, straightened the down tubes ( sorry, did'nt take pics ) and sent it home. The owner decided to have us finish it up for him so did a few mods to it and doing the mock up on it. Got a few other things to do and will post up as we do those.
The other sporty is a regular customer of ours. His wife gave him this 88 883 and he said it was just to small. So he wants it kinda like a mini fatboy. So, we installed a wideglide frontend, solid fatboy wheels, dual disc, a one peice fat tank, added the flair to the rear fender. Will be making a set of pipes and what ever else he decides to add. I'll get some better pics in the next couple days and post them up.

Hey Mike is back. Nice to see you alive and well (I'm assuming). What's been going on with you. Still in the new shop or back at the old, how did you do with that bunch of parts you had?

Welcome back.

Re: couple projects in progress

haha!! that is bitchin D. Check out my new toy. I remember someone saying they wanted a rigid shovel sometime back. I can't remember who it was but i picked this up today hopeing they would come back around and fall in love. LOL Gotta make a couple changes on it. the pipes are history as soon as I get time to change them out. Thinking about a 2 into 1 with a supertrapp angled up with the lower frame rail. Seat has got to go. Putting a spring seat on it. Maybe go with a ribbed rar fender and short sissy bar to strap some stuff to. The pegs are definetly history. The frontend might get replaced with an oem FL springer and a 16 inch front tire. Maybe some flames ???? LOL
Whatcha think Big D ??

Nice Mike. Needs that fatter front tire and FL springer and maybe a set of ape hangers so you don't have to fold yourself in half to ride it. Other then that I like it. Up in the air about the seat though but I do like the rear fender.

Whoo hoo! Nice, Mike!

I got no quarrel with the pipes. Whoa. Earplugs manditory, looks like.

That springer looks nice... OEM FL would look better... big ol' baloney up front... big ol' tractor seat... No flames... I'd make the paint black suede, with some Von Dutch pinstripes here and there.

Bobbed fender, side tag and stop light. Oval floorboards...

Low rizers with homemade 12" apes w/drilled gussets...

Damn...

~~

What is this thing, Mike?? '70's chain-drive 4 speed?

Thanks Mutt. Yeah, apes are a must. I can't stand drag bars. The kid that owned it had 12 " apes on it, then changed them out for these.
Definetly getting a sprung seat, side mount tail light.

It is a 80 c.i. delkron cased shovel, oem ratchet top trans, rigid framed, black beauty. He must have spent more time cleaning it then riding it. Looks like it could'nt have more than 50 miles on it. The oem spring is arriving tomorrow, already have a 16x130 to toss on it up front. Don't have any tractor seats laying around, but this is farm country. LOL
