Chopper Build Pic
1st pic, more to follow. I call it my chopper because I chopped off the back of the frame. It's a Midwest 2 up, 2 out 34 degree hardtail (not anymore) frame. I'm too buggered up for any long hardtail rides, so I cut the back end off and I'm going to use a custom Shovelhead swingarm with a pair of short FLH shocks. I'll be showing pic's of the work so stay tuned. If anybody needs a nice rear hardtail section for a build I have one that will fit a 200 tire, also would make a nice wheel truing stand.

Howdy Fellas, Update
Sorry I ain't been participating lately, been real busy getting life & motorcycles squared away. I guess I'm not moving to Arizona. I did sell my lathe. Using the $3000 to finish this build. Here's what I got coming in the mail; Edelbrock Nitrous Kit, Keith Black 3 5/8 pistons, Weber 48IDF downdraft carb & Intake, 6" over Wide Springer, plus a bunch of other stuff. I'll post pic's as I get going. I've got to get to work, I'm building the back end for her today. I've got 5 days left to use my old lathe to get all my round stuff done. Later on, Smitty

Hello Smit, good to see ya pop in. I love what ya got going there and look forward to pics as it gets along. Are you giving up the maching end of things? Shame if so, you are a huge talent at it.

Re: Chopper Build Pic
Hey Fellas, been making some headway on the scooter. Here's some pic's to look at, got the frame welded up,just need to clean things up a bit. Check out the bayonet mount on the solo seat. The spring pressure keeps them in the holes, but it's just a quick lift to get to the electrics underneath.

Re: Chopper Build Pic
Looks great. Love that shock angle, don't know how much dampening that will give you. I guess your back will let you know If it's enough.
Very creative with the seat spring set up.

Re: Chopper Build Pic
Thanks for the encouragement, you're not the first to mention the shock angle. I wondered about it too, then kept on welding. At lesat the seat has springs. This bike will be for sale as soon as it's done, so I won't be doing much riding on it.
