Cool 67 Triumph 650 T120R chopper build

now dont go and try this with what paint i used this was just playing around with bubble effect. and its the cheapest and fastest in the weather today here in calif. Whew Hot Hot Hot , had a baked on finish from the sun! lol
i did it in a hour the base blk lacquer spray can lite tan for shadow and ill putt clear over after i detail with something , think i have some silver leaf laying around someware.
my crankshaft still not ready so im not spending nooooo cash on pertty paint and extras till i have that engine in dial in and running who knows what i may need , but i was board and had fun with it (nothing wrong with a little practice) and tank is easy to find and do complete bike paint next winter or when ever i fill like it

to see how it came out so far ck it out leave a brother a comment also if u would that would be cool its better then the prime paint i rolled with B4

Looks interesting..... does the water cause bubbles in the paint? (rough texture?) Do you clear the hell out of it afterwards????

I like it better than the primer!

and I love that it is low dollar too!

Very cool. Lots of tricks one can do if they are adventurous. Thanks for posting.

Explain exactly what you did. I want to try that.. I got a cabinet full of paint and 2 bikes to play with. I really dig that effect....Did you spray the water over wet paint or spray paint over the water drops.....Help me out here my brain is tweeking....

Re: 67 Triumph 650 T120R chopper build

if your just going to use spray cans at least use a lauquar paint that will hold up better than all other spraycans unless u go to ur local body and fender auto paint supply where they sometimes put auto paint in cans and if so . may sell color rejects at a bargin price.

what i did was paint base color blk. let dray , get mist sprayer set to max water flow and spray even over ur piece. while it is still wet (water) spray with ur tint color but not too much just lite mist from front of pices at a horazotal angle so mist goes on and parially covers wet water drops and leave to dry as long as it takes for the water to evporate and u will see that it is a flat surface again then spray with at lease 3 or for coats of clear.
i put some silver leaf on mine but im not happy how it came out so i will be working on it some more my first time with both bubble effect and leaf so i know all i can do is get better with practice and so can anyone its fun to experiment for me!!!!
