1974 FLH Electroglide

Recently got a start on getting it all out of the boxes, cleaned up and started the reassemble. I'll post some pics a little later. Heads, jugs are out being redone, tins are at the painters. So far its made it to a rolling chassis. Nothing runs like a shovel!!!!

I want to keep it as 74'ish as possible, not too sure on the front chrome hud cap yet, its starting to grow on me a bit. I'm thinking of putting an old police style solo on it....maybe, color will be Lighting yellow. I just Like yellow crusiers..not a color you see too often. Also a color that stands out more coming down the road!!!

Re: 1974 FLH Electroglide

I like the hub cap and the idea of the police style solo seat as that should be a very comfo ride. Are you gonna set it up on a pogo post, seat prings or just flat on the frame rails?

Yellow though - hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Whatever you want.

Thinking more along the lines of seat springs.

Re: 1974 FLH Electroglide - update

Was able to back in the shop today (finally). The new pistons and reworked jugs were picked up late yesterday. I decided to go with solid lifters. Got most of the new / reworked parts installed. The heads will go on next. The tins are at paint now, with any luck I'll be riding in a week or two.

Re: 1974 FLH Electroglide - update

Sense the orginal pipes and slipons were trashed, I'm going to put some baffled drag pipes on it to start until the wallet grows a little thicker and I can get the true dual exhaust and rush slipons I want.
